During the ongoing pandemic the government of Kenya unveiled an SMS service to enable the citizens of the country to report illegal activities. Members of the public can report any illegal activity around them using a text message to 988. An individual can use the free toll service 988, to report crime around them and their number is anonymous thus cannot be shared to the public. To use the service effectively, members of the public are required to text the name of the county and the estate where the illegal activity is taking place.
